2011 Northrop Grumman Nerd Biker Wannabe Run

We opted for a day run this year rather than an over-nighter. Ultimately we settled on the extended Flathead Lake loop. We started with 8 bikes but when the group turned right at Avon after 28 miles, one of my coworkers (well, two, but one bike) continued on to Missoula instead. The remaining seven finished the trip, with only one mishap. SOMEBODY dropped HER bike at the junction of Hwy 200 and Hwy 141, breaking off the end of the clutch lever. But other than that, everything was fine. A bit hot in the afternoon, someplaces reaching mid 90s, which is hot for around here.

I had to run an errand for friends before and after, so my personal total for the day is 464 miles.

Reboot and I went on a mini roadtrip after breakfast…

I’d really like to take one more long trip this year, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to get away.

Overhaul (more or less) Complete

So other than changing WordPress themes, and reorganizing a bit because of that theme change as well as the acquisition of Reboot, the changes are currently finished. I added the Travelogue section, something I’ve been toying with for a while, but it still needs a lot of work. I’m finding that I don’t really have a lot of good photos that are location-specific, so some of the fleshing out will happen as I return to some of my favorite locations like Nelson, BC. As with everything else I do, enhancements will come as time and inspiration allows.
